About Dolphin Island Tours

We are a locally owned boat tour agency based on Merritt Island, and we do things a little differently than most. Every trip we run is private and exclusive to your group, so you never share the boat with strangers. We keep our groups small, with a minimum of three and a maximum of six passengers, because a smaller boat means a calmer, more personal day on the water. Our focus is on families and groups who want time together, not a crowded party boat.

Most of our guests come out for dolphin watching, which is our most requested experience and the one people ask about most often. On a good afternoon you can watch dolphins surface right alongside the boat, and we take our time so nobody feels rushed. Beyond that, our sunset cruises are a favorite for couples and anniversaries, and our snorkeling tours give you a chance to get in the water and see what lives below the surface. We also run sightseeing tours along the Indian River and island tours that take in the quieter coves and inlets around the area.

Because every booking is yours alone, we can shape the trip around what you want. Some guests come for rocket launch viewing from the water, others book a birthday outing or a Fourth of July trip, and plenty of families just want a relaxed boat ride with a fishing pole in hand. We also run eco tours for anyone curious about the wildlife and habitats along the coast. If you have something specific in mind, tell us and we will do our best to build it into your day.
